SHALLOW REEFS
Our Reef fishing trips are very popular and are a great option to just catch fish, With so many different fish on offer there is certainly something that will appeal to everyone, On our local reefs and In recent years the Bluethrought Wrasse has become an expensive commodity and can be found in many well known chinese restaurants, When steamed correctly it certainly has become a delicacy. Other common fish caught on the local reefs are leatherjackets, barber or seaperch, sweep some other wrasse varieties as well as a mixture of many other fish. Please Note, these trips can be conducted in most weather situations as we can ussually find a sheltered area amongst our many headlands and peninsulas
DEEP SEA, OFFSHORE REEFS
A little further offshore we have some other amazing species that are in abundance and amongst them are some incredible eating fish as well as the chance of some really exciting, Tasty, and large fish as well as gummy sharks, school and mako sharks. Some of these fish include snapper, Nannygai, jackass Morwong, silver Morwong, Queen snapper (Blue Morwong) Butterfly Gurnard, Normal Gurnard, Knifejaw, Trumpeter, Ocean perch, Flathead, and so many more. These trips can be conducted locally, However as we move away from suburbia and move towards regional victoria often the fish abundance increases dramatically as well as the variety of species. Please Note, These trips are more productive in relatively calm seas
EXTRA DEEP SEA
A little further offshore again we have the option of targeting some very deep sea fish such as Blue eye, Hapuka, Gemfish, blue grenadier, Pink Ling as well as lots of shark varieties. These trips are conducted outside of melbourne and depending on fish availability our departure point maybe 2-4 hours drive from melbournes CBD. Please Note, These deep sea trips are most productive in low wind and relatively calm seas
COST
Our Shallow reef trips are a 5 hour trip usually departing from Sorrento, Stony point, or San Remo, And are a minimum of $1020 To book the boat for up to 6 ppl, Extras persons will be $170 pp with group maximum of 12
Our deep reef trips as well as our extra deep sea trips are a full day trip leaving at daybreak and often returning at dusk, Often fishing in very deep water lots of winding should be anticipated, And in some very deep cases we will use electric reels. These trips usually depart from Port Welshpool, Apollo bay, Port Fairy and Portland and are a minimum of $2040 to book the boat for up to 6 ppl, Extra persons will be $340 pp with a group maximum of 10
